Partner Groups

Partner Groups let you organize affiliates into segments and assign each segment its own commission flow — great for separating influencers from resellers, or bronze-tier from gold-tier partners.

What partner groups do

Without groups

All affiliates use the same program-level default commission flow.

With groups

Different affiliate segments use different flows. A "VIP Partners" group can earn 20% while standard partners earn 10%.

Creating a partner group

Navigate to Program Settings → Partner Groups.

Click Create Group

Click the Create Group button on the Partner Groups page.

Name your group

Enter a descriptive name, e.g. "VIP Partners", "Content Creators", or "Resellers".

Assign a default flow

Select which commission flow this group should use. All affiliates in this group will use this flow instead of the program default.

Save

Click Create. The group is now available for affiliate assignment.

Adding affiliates to a group

You can assign affiliates to a group in two ways:

At invitation time

When inviting an affiliate, select the Partner Group in the invitation form. They'll be assigned to the group automatically when they accept.

From the Partners page

Open an affiliate's detail view from the Partners list and edit their group assignment there.

How group flows work

When a conversion occurs, AFFY checks if the affiliate belongs to a Partner Group with an assigned flow. If yes, that flow is used. If no group flow is set, the program-level default flow applies.

A group's flow overrides the program default, but it doesn't override any flow manually assigned to an individual affiliate (if your setup supports per-affiliate overrides).
