Getting Started

Account Setup

AFFY has two separate settings areas — make sure you know which one you need:

Settings (sidebar → Settings)

Your personal account — profile, password, connected websites, payment gateways, and payout method. Covered on this page.

Program Settings (sidebar → Program Settings)

Your affiliate program configuration — company info visible to affiliates, tracking snippet, branding, partner groups, and custom domain. See the Program Settings guide.

Profile tab

Navigate to Settings → Profile. This tab contains your personal and company details used for invoicing, tax compliance, and your affiliate portal.

Personal Information

  • First Name / Last Name — your name as account owner
  • Email Address — your login email. Changing it requires email verification
  • Phone Number — optional contact number

Company Information

  • Company Name — shown to affiliates in their portal and in emails
  • Website — your company's primary website URL
  • Street Address, City, State/Province, Postal Code, Country — your business address used for tax compliance

Tax Information

  • Tax ID / EIN — your US Employer Identification Number (required for 1099 generation)
  • VAT Number — your EU VAT registration number if applicable

Notification Preferences

  • Email Notifications — receive email updates about your account activity
  • Telegram Notifications — connect a Telegram bot to receive real-time alerts via Telegram

Websites tab

Navigate to Settings → Websites to manage the websites where AFFY tracking is installed. Each website has:

  • Name — a label for the website (e.g. "Main Store")
  • Slug — a URL-friendly identifier used in tracking configurations
  • Primary URL — the domain where the tracking script is installed
  • Description — an optional note about this website

You can add multiple websites, set one as the primary, and edit or delete existing entries. The tracking script you install on each site is the same — the website entry helps you organize which site a referral came from.

Integration tab

Navigate to Settings → Integration to connect your payment gateways. Connecting a gateway enables automatic conversion tracking — AFFY receives payment events directly from the gateway without any extra code on your side.

Stripe

OAuth

Connect via OAuth — click Connect Stripe and authorize in the Stripe dashboard. Webhooks are set up automatically.

Paddle

Webhook

Configure your Paddle webhook URL and secret. Copy the endpoint URL from AFFY and add it to your Paddle account.

Chargebee

Webhook

Configure your Chargebee webhook URL and secret. Copy the endpoint URL from AFFY and add it to your Chargebee account.

PayPal

OAuth

Connect PayPal via OAuth for payout tracking. Also connect PayPal SDK for paying affiliates via PayPal.

See the individual integration guides for step-by-step setup instructions: Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, PayPal.

Payment tab

Navigate to Settings → Payment to configure the default payout method for your affiliates. This sets how you pay affiliates when you process payouts.

Supported payout methods:

  • Bank Transfer (ACH/Wire) — direct bank deposit
  • PayPal — send to affiliate's PayPal email
  • Crypto — cryptocurrency payments to a wallet address
Individual affiliates can set their own preferred payment method in their affiliate portal settings. Their preference overrides the program default when processing their payout.
